Mulberry Fork of the Black Warrior River
March 16, 2008
Alabama

The old highway bridge marks the putin.

The view upstream from the old bridge. In the distance you can just barely see a rather nice looking rapid on the upper stretch.

The view downstream from the old bridge shows a few good surfing waves and water muddied from heavy rain the day before.

The wave at Lunch Stop was pretty big, as can be seen from the perspective of the kayaker in the background. Chris assures us that the Mulberry is normally not nearly as big as it was on Sunday.

Another view.

Gamma corrected image showing the cliffs just upstream of the main drop at Lunch Stop.

Pat Carver being who she is.
